Alex Browning
Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, I grew up playing competitive sports including football, golf, swimming, and diving. Post high school I began distance running and weight training. I have participated in races from 5ks to marathons. My favorite distance is 10 miles. In 2010 I found CrossFit and began using it as a supplemental training program to my running. I was hooked immediately.
Why I CrossFit...
I CrossFit for the challenge. There is not another athletic discipline that requires such a comprehensive mastery of speed, power, coordination, agility, and mental toughness as CrossFit. Whether you are getting your first double under, lifting a PR snatch, or posting a sub 3 minute Fran, CrossFit requires a level of commitment I have never experienced. CrossFit requires me to be constantly setting, testing, and breaking my physical and mental limits. Knowing that every time I step into the gym I am going to be challenged keeps me motivated.
Why I coach...
Since starting CrossFit, I have achieved fitness goals I once thought impossible. I truly believe that with the right direction, instruction, and motivation anyone can exceed the bounds of what they think is possible.
